Description
English: Snowflake in the microscope

Author Josef Reischig in 2003 said about this photo:

"This year I fulfilled my longtime dream. I shot snowflake. It's not in our conditions so easy. It must be at least -15 °C and snowing. Which is not often here in Pilsen, maybe somewhere in the north. And such situation occurred this year one day after Epiphany. I was sitting in the office examining one student when it began to snow. I interrupted the examination and quickly started the preparations. I opened the window fully and moved the microscope as close as possible to it. On the window sill, I spread microscope slides and waited for snowflake to fall on it. And here luck plays a big role. Snowflake is very fragile and therefore to be suitbale for taking picture it must fall the glass so that it does not brake. And afterwards one must immediately start to shoot, because in a short time the snowflake begins to melt."
Čeština: Sněhová vločka v mikroskopu

Autor Josef Reischig v roce 2003 k této fotografii řekl:

"Letos se mi splnil můj dávný sen. Nafotil jsem sněhovou vločku. Ono to není v našich podmínkách nic jednoduchého. A zde hraje velkou roli štěstí.
