Hi Wleman, I see you added two very basal articles to this Wikipedia on the 30th 0f May. Are you a Cheyenne tribesman? If so, can you attemp to interest your fellow Cheyennes? And if you are white, did you contact some of the Cheynenne already? And yeah, in both cases, I encourage that you write more - the more you write, the more like this Wikipedia will be to pick up new users and grow to something acceptable. 145.97.196.186 09:25, 1 September 2005 (UTC) (li:User:HaafLimbo)

editGood day and good to see you on the Wiki ! Do you speak Cheyenne ? Amqui (talk) 03:37, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
I speak Cheyenne moderately well. I began studying Cheyenne in 1971. I am a linguist, not a Cheyenne. My own Native blood is from Alaska. Yes, I have told Cheyennes about this Cheyenne wikipedia. They like it, but I don't know if they will contribute to it.
- I'm glad to hear they like it! And also glad to know we have a linguist around. I've been wondering if it would be easier, and make more sense for a Cheyenne speaker to record sound files, instead of typing. The sound files could be e-mailed to one of us who knows how to add them in to the Wiki articles. Djembayz (talk) 02:56, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
- Note that I'm also available to guide any potential Cheyenne speaker to handle the software and I can take care of the technical aspect, so they can focus purely on content. What I have done (even if it's not the recommended way neither my favorite way to do things) with another aboriginal language is to let them write texts that they send to me by e-mail or directly on a software they know (in the previous case Facebook) and I take care of uploading it on the Wikipedia. That being said, I'd much rather them contributing directly to the Wikipedia. Also, if there's way you can think of making it easier, let me know. There is also the possibility of setting programs in community schools, since Wikipedia is a good tool for the young people to get interested in their language while using computers, we can help and support the teacher for that. Thank you, Amqui (talk) 04:09, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
